Your Journey to Becoming a Qualified Driver
Our tailored programmes ensure you're fully prepared for the road ahead.
Step 1: Apply for Your Provisional Licence
Before you can start LGV or PCV training, you must apply for your provisional licence. This involves filling out a D2 application form, completing a medical with the D4 form and sending both forms to the DVLA in Swansea. Our team can assist if you need help.
Step 2: Pass Your Theory & CPC Mod 2
Once you’ve received your provisional, we recommend passing your Module 1 theory and hazard perception tests before training begins. If you're aged 18-21 or planning to drive professionally, you'll also need to complete the CPC Module 2 case study test.
Step 3: Book Your Training
Next, you’ll book an assessment drive with us so we can recommend the right amount of training. From there, we’ll plan your course and get you confident with practical, supportive instruction.
Step 4: Take Your Test & Start Your Career
You’ll complete your Module 3 practical driving test, the CPC Module 4 demonstration test (if required). Once passed, you’ll receive your full licence and be ready to begin your professional driving career!

Driver CPC courses: Each Driver CPC course is 7 hours long. If preferred, this can be split into two 3.5-hour sessions, but both sessions must be completed within consecutive days for the International Driver CPC. For National CPC (ideal for drivers only operating in the UK) these split sessions can be done with more flexibility and interchangeability to meeting your 35 hours every 5 years.
For more information view our Driver CPC page.
Refresher courses: Refresher sessions are 4 hours each and can be booked as needed. You can choose morning (8:00-12:00) or afternoon (12:30-4:30) slots.
Licence Acquisition Courses (LGV / PCV): LGV courses usually take between 6-10 days, depending on the category and your previous experience. For minibus training it can take between 1-4 days depending on the training and individual.
Driving Assessments: Minibus driver assessments typically take around 1 hour and 15 minutes. For LGV (lorry) drivers, assessments usually take a full day, especially when carried out on-site and designed to cover all relevant competencies.
Course prices vary depending on the licence category and course type. All fees include VAT and test costs where applicable. For an up to date quote, please contact us directly for a tailored price.
Yes. If you’re applying for a new LGV or PCV licence, you’ll need to complete a driver medical using the D4 form, filled out by your doctor. You’ll also need to submit a D2 form to apply for your provisional licence. We’re happy to guide you through this process if needed.
If you drive professionally, you’ll need to complete 35 hours of Driver CPC periodic training every 5 years to maintain your qualification.
We recommend spacing this out by attending one 7-hour course per year. This makes it easier to manage costs and time, rather than leaving it all until just before your CPC card expires. Please note: You cannot repeat the same CPC subjects within a 5 year period.
You can check your completed CPC hours here: Check your Driver CPC training hours - GOV.UK
All training is led by Michael, our lead instructor. He brings decades of industry experience, both on the road and as a professional trainer since 2013.
